Fish Puttu

Fish (any fleshy fish)  1/4 kg
onion chopped          2
green chilli                 to taste
salt
oil
coconut(optional)      1/4 cup
curry leaves               few
mustard,urad dal split

Cook fish in little water,salt and turmeric.Remove bones ,take the flesh out.Keep it aside.
Heat oil in a kadai,make seasoning with mustard,curry leaves,urad dal.
Add chopped onion,green chilli fry well.Add minced fish ,fry well. Add salt and coconut grated mix well.
Serve hot with Sambar rice...

Cold Cucumber soup

Grind cucumber 1 whole with
greenchilli to taste,salt,coriander leaves,mint leaves few,jeera 1/4 tsp,
1/2 cup curd. Mix coconut milk 1/2 cup with this.
serve chilled ...or add ice cubes while grinding

Dates raita

Add little fresh cream to crud.
Add salt,dates coriander leaves and little  chat masala powder.

Banana Raita

Beat Curd, add sliced banana and salt.

Okra Soup

5-6 ladies finger
1 tsp garlic chopped
2 cups water
3-4 tbsp cooked rice
pepper powder to taste
soya sauce few drops
1 egg beaten
salt
2 tsp oil

Heat oil in a kadai,add ladies finger pieces,garlic saute well.
Add water cook well.
Add pepper powder,salt cooked rice.cook for 1 minute.
Add soya sauce mix well.
Switch off the stove.Pour beaten egg like a thread.Mix well serve hot.

Tomato Soup

Ingredients:

Fully riped tomatos - 5
Carrot - 1
Butter or ghee - 1 teaspoon
Jeera - 1 teaspoon
Fresh ginger – a small piece
Corn flour – 1 tablespoon
Salt and Pepper powder as required

Cut the tomatos into four pieces and put it in a broad vessel. Add five of cups of water.
Add  carrot and  ginger chopped finely to the tomato. Cook till the tomatos are soft.
When it is cool, blend it in a blender and strain it.
Mix little water in the corn flour and make a thin batter and add to the tomato puree.
In a heavy bottomed vessel put the butter and add jeera and lightly fry.
Add the tomato puree and boil in medium flame till it thickens.
Add salt and pepper and garnish with fried bread pieces

Dhal soup

Ingredients:

Green Gram dhal – ¾ cup
Green Chillies – 2
Fresh ginger – small piece
Jeera – 1 teaspoon
Asafotida – ¼ teaspoon
Turmeric powder – a pinch
Ghee – 2 tablespoon
Pepper Powder – ½ teaspoon
Salt – as required
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon

Wash the dhal and put it into a pressure cooker.
Add chilli,ginger to the dhal. Add 6 cups of water, turmeric powder and a teaspoon of ghee and pressure cook for two whistls.
Cool it and blend the cooked dhal in a blender. Strain through a sieve.

Heat the ghee in a kadai and fry the bread pieces till it turns light brown. Remove and keep it.
In the same kadai, add the cumin seeds and fry for a while. Add asafetida powder and mix well.
Add the dhal water and stir well. Add Salt and bring to boil. Allow to boil for two minutes.
Switch off the stove and add lemon juice and sprinkle pepper powder and garnish with bread pieces

Dry fruits milkshake


Raisins,fig,dates,almonds equal quantity
honey to taste
milk 1 cup
Grind everything well...
serve chilled.
note:
This is good with morning breakfast.

rajma curry

 This recipe is good for Anemia 
rajma 1/4 cup cooked
onion paste 3 tbsp
tomato puree 2tbsp
tomato sauce 2 tsp
salt
chilli powder 1/2 tsp
turmeric 1/4 tsp
dhania powder 1 tsp

Make seasoning with jeera and fennal.
add onion paste saute well.add tomato puree saute till thick.
Add masala powders,salt,rajma,water.Cook well
Add tomato sauce,coriander leaves and serve hot.

Breakfast salad (must try)


Green gram sprout           1 Cup
Apple chopped                1
Orange segments             of 1 orange
dates                               10 chopped
green chilli                        2 or to taste
honey                               2 tsp
Almonds                          10 -15 or more
salt                                  litte
Grind green chilli.Mix every thing.Toss well.
If you feel very hard to eat whole sprout then coursly grind green gram with green chilli.
It's a wholesome breakfast.
note:
Can add any fruits except banana. Must add one citrus fruit.

Banana stem juice

banana stem 1 C chopped
lime juice 1/2 tsp
sugar or honey to taste

grind banana stem make juice out of it.add lime juice and sugar.
You can reduce weight by taking this juice daily

ragi idli

Ragi flour 2 cups
urad dal 1/2 cup
fenugreek 1/2 tsp
salt to taste

soak urad dal+ fenugreek for 3 hours.
gring it well.
add ragi flour and salt.
keep it for 8 hours.makr idli

Navarathna sambar

Toor dal 1/2 Cup
mixed dals 1/2 Cup(moong,channa,soya,peas,horse gram etc)
tamirand water 1/4 cup
salt to taste
chili powder 2 tsp
coriander powder 3 tsp
turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
fenugreek+
cumin powder 1/2 tsp
coriander leaves few
curry leaves few
mustard 1/2 tsp
oil 3 tsp
red chili 5
mixed vegetable 1 cup
asofoetida 1/4 tsp


Dry fry fenugreek+cumin seeds.powder it.
cook all dals .mash it well.
Cook vegetable in dal.Add tamirand water,chili ,coriander,turmeric powder,fenugreek
+cumin powder.
Cook till the tamirands raw smell disappear.
make seasoning with mustard,asofoetida,curry leaves,red chilli in another kadai.Pour this over cooked dal.garnish with coriander leaves.
